It’s Mother’s Day weekend!
Remembering…telling stories. There’s no better way to celebrate those who give of themselves, no matter what title they hold.
Mother’s Day – for me – will forever conjure thoughts about those who cared for me, regardless of their assigned roles in my life. The best of mothering, at its innermost squishy core, is loving.
Love, love, loving.
In this week’s Heart of the Matter podcast, Wynne (my favorite storytelling mama) invites us into her world with her kids and the adventures and misadventures that occur when we embrace nature while learning about the harsher bits. Unpleasant realities hover around us – even for we, the sunny people. 🌞 The trick is to help one another navigate through the poignant and painful moments. Find the good.
Wynne would be the last person EVER to seek praise for her parenting acumen, but I’ll give it just the same. You’ll understand as you listen to a story about a sweet bunny, a devilish cat and Wynne’s kind-hearted, thoughtful children who experienced a Monday morning like no other this week.
