The Best Morning Smile

Don’tcha love it when something simple makes your day?

As I drove to an appointment I dreaded this morning I found myself following a truck with the sweetest bumper sticker EVER.

I tried to capture a pic as I sat behind the large red truck at several stop lights, but they didn’t turn out well and to be honest, at one point I wondered/worried if the intent of the sweet message might cosmically backfire because my behavior probably looked a little odd in the driver’s rear-view mirror. So, I made my own version just now – snipped in above.

At the next light we ended up side-by-side and I took a risk and waved to the gentleman in the truck when he glanced in my direction. Perhaps he saw me trying to capture a pic and knew what I was doing all along? I mean…people with soul-satisfying messages on their rear bumper might be accustomed to random smiles from other drivers?

I shouted, “Love your bumper sticker!” And his rapid reply? “Thanks — and see – it’s working. You made my day for telling me so.”

Fifteen seconds of light and love at a stoplight. No muss, no fuss and I think two people drove away delighted. One for sure. Me!

OK. How about this: You wear some dentures, which I do, how is that even possible?
