Podcast Friday – Plus!

Being vulnerable is a tough thing.  Having a buddy to travel with as you peel back the layers and engage in self-disclosure is a joy and a blessing and those two words describe my friend, Wynne Leon perfectly. She’s a joy and a blessing, for sure!

This week, not only did we have a thoughtful chat – reflected in our podcast about keeping secrets – but Wynne and I had the good fortune of visiting with our friends from Revel Eleven as we offered our thoughts about creativity, writing and resilience.

If you didn’t have a chance to tune in live, the event is available here if you’d like to watch. We love feedback and input – thanks in advance.

Happy Friday…Happy Podcast…and Workshop Friday.

All the best,

Vicki ❤

  1. I just briefly looked at the beginning of your Revel Eleven podcast. It made me realize that I might have misunderstood the idea of “secrets,” assuming they were private intimacies rather than “tricks” or little-known paths to accomplishment. Well, the latter are worth knowing, too, for sure, and you and Wynne are just the people to speak authoritatively about them.

    1. I follow you entirely…yes, yes. Terrific point. Talking about ‘secrets’ — context matters! Thank you so much, Dr. Stein. 🥰

  2. I appreciated the opportunity to be part of the workshop. And, I’m still processing what it means for me. I’m challenged by the encouragement to give another try at my long hand writing “skills”. I know the research is sound.

    1. We were thrilled to see you there, David and I felt terrible that your excellent question about longhand didn’t get a proper response…the idea that doodling or scribbling and ‘mind mapping’ can serve the same purpose to generate ideas and loosen ourselves up. It was a gem of a question and a great point. If the writing doesn’t work for you, join me in my endless doodling. (We can compare our silly sketches!) 🥰😜🥰

      1. Hah! My sketches would be silly indeed. Pretty sure most first graders can doodle better. 🤣

        1. Same!!! But I can generate some interesting ideas…and I bet you can, too. If nothing else, mine make me giggle. Childlike! Yes! 😜

  8. Being vulnerable is difficult and in my observation about blogging, it is the inability to allow yourself to be vulnerable that derails many bloggers. Gotta be real if’n you’re going to be a blogger worth knowing.

    1. Oh how I love that observation, Ally. Thank you for that. I think you’re right — it’s hard to sustain the effort if we aren’t being true to ourselves. Xo! 🥰

    2. Wow, that observation rings so true, Ally. I hadn’t figured out why some stay and some go so thank you for putting that together for me!
