Podcast Friday! Chilling Out & Warming Up

  • Maybe I’m influenced by the fact that it’s March 22 and we’re getting a dose of snow in the Chicago area?
  •  Maybe I’m dreaming about writer and musician Todd Fulginiti’s love of the beach as his ‘happy place’ – wishing that warmer weather was here…NOW?
  • Maybe…if I let myself, I can be warmed by the insight from Todd and Wynne in our latest podcast.  Stealing secrets from two of my favorite people about how to focus on the moments that matter while being true to ourselves and honoring the deeply rooted compulsion to create.
  • Maybe…if you listen, you’ll pick out a self-care tidbit that suits you.  This episode is full of relatable nuggets of wisdom.  How to keep on…keepin on.  Honoring ourselves and the tandem goals of living and loving.
  • Maybe you’ll laugh with us as we joke about thoughts of karaoke vandalism as a means to preserve live music…

What I know for sure?  You’ll enjoy.  Here’s a sneak peek:

Peace out…chill out…Happy Friday!

  2. I am interested to know whether being true to oneself, as you mentioned , Vicki, leaves space for recognizing the responsibility to serve a world in crisis. I have met many whose truth to oneself seems to eclipse the recognition of suffering populations worldwide or, for those who do acknowledge it, believe it is the job of others to address, not themselves.

    1. Ah…yes. Being more than single-minded about self. I think the reminders that life serves up about interdependency are crucial. Acknowledging, taking action for the greater good. As you say, recognition is only the first step. 💔

  5. Finally I found this post. WordPress is acting up today. I’d click on Reader where you posted today and I found myself at your “Wind Beneath My Wings” story. It’s done that for several blogs I follow. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the podcast. 😊

    1. Oh…how wacky! I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes…but sometimes your posts don’t appear for me at all (and those of a couple of other blogging friends). Yesterday, I couldn’t leave comments. Like not at all…until I did a weird dance of logging out and logging in several times. Thank you for persevering! 🥰😜🥰

  10. A great podcast and I like this quote from Wynne, “Yeah, I think for me, when I am able to refill my tank, then I have more confidence that whatever happens, I’m going to be able to handle.”

  11. I like Todd’s perspective on why he creates. It’s why I enjoy music, a true form of escape. And how nice that he thinks about that intention for his audience when he creates and performs. Music, like art, is really best enjoyed with a live audience.

    1. Thank you for that, Ab. I think so, too! Todd addressed that so well – deep appreciation for the audience. Appreciate YOU for listening! 🥰
