Peek Inside: “Surviving Sue” – News!

Thanks so much for the continuing interest in my book, “Surviving Sue”.

I’m grateful to the Palos Heights Public Library for hosting me on May 9.  What a beautiful library and lovely people!

Coming up next?  Registration is still open for the course I’ll be teaching at Harper College, starting June 18.  It’s an in-person 4-week class all about writing to heal and build resilience.  Here are the details:

Lastly, I’m excited to share that the friendly folks at the Woodstock Library have invited me to present on July 30 and registration for that event opens this week, on Wednesday 5/22.

If you’re in the Chicago area, I’d love to see you in class or at the upcoming event in Woodstock.  Thank you to my publisher, Eckhartz Press and my dear friends who continue to encourage me. Storytelling and connecting through the power of personal narratives? One of the most unexpected gifts in my life.

Vicki 😉

P.P.S. I’m grateful for the great reviews on Amazon and Goodreads…and the wonderful questions from thoughtful readers. I welcome more!  If you’ve enjoyed the book and my story, please pass along your positivity to a fellow reader.

Wasn’t Woodstock the place where “Groundhog Day” was filmed? Worth seeing for your talk and other reasons, too! Good luck, Vicki!

  11. Congrats on the course and the public events. Hmmm, I was thinking. I know Harper College says in-person event, but . . . what about virtual too. Hmmm, just saying, I can think of a few writers out there who could use your help. Okay, it’s me, but I could use a lot of help, but I’m sure there are others too. Ha, ha. Congratulations Vicki. Like Wynne said, love how these opportunities bring together your loves: writing and teaching. Very cool.

    1. Wowza…you are wayyyy too kind, Brian. I think I’m one of those writers who often needs help, but maybe that’s why we all stick together – connecting about storytelling and all the discoveries about how to do it. Thank you so much! 🥰

      1. Well, it feels like you have a perfect niche with a teaching background to blend it altogether. And giving presentations in a library is brilliant since the audience clearly loves books. (I’m going to tuck that one away for future consideration one day haha.)

Way to keep those presentations rolling, Vicki! A lot of people are fearful of public speaking, but practice makes perfect. It’s probably not that scary to you at this point—a good way to get your name out there more.
