Love, Most of All…

“The sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while it’s here is up to us. Journey wisely.” — Alexandra Elle

Journey wisely. I like that advice. Perhaps it’s the byproduct of the past week and the culminating factors of the time change, resulting in less light – literally – and a whittling away of hopefulness. Shadowy feelings of disappointment invaded the hearts of many – myself included – in recent days.

But I am resilient. My values are etched and hardwired.

Kindness, civility, love, most of all.

What we do with the hours we have and how we lean into and create light for others matters. The reminder to “journey wisely” is welcome. Remembering that our voices still matter and when we sing together, change and harmony are possible.

This is believe.

    1. So grateful to you for your insightful thoughts…and forgiveness if I’ve missed a post or two of yours. I see at least one from you that I need to catch up on…and your terrific quip about Kool-Aid stock from this week summoned a smile that I didn’t think I could manage. Appreciate you, my friend! 🥰

  3. Yes, our voices still matter. We’re going to need to remember that. I remember too learning as a little kid: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Thanks for speaking up Vicki.

  8. What a beautiful morning spot, Vicki! You are right that the world and nature are resilient, especially in moments that test us, and we choose how to respond to hardships and to the light that the day presents us, no matter how limited the hours.

  13. Your sunlight spot is beautiful. And when it comes to the feeling of diminishing light, we must ask ourselves is it our fear that’s dimming it? Or are we the light that needs to shine brighter. As Rumi once said, “If everything is dark around you, look again. You may be the light.”
    Keep shining! With love. 💕

    1. What a perfect Rumi quote, my friend. Thank you so very much. Your point is fantastic — fear immobilizes and keep us from shining. Big hugs. 🥰
