While doing some routine, desktop maintenance recently (but not nearly as much as I should be doing when I think about the periodic decluttering inspiration I receive from my talented friend, Michelle Oram) I found something that made me grin.
Michelle has a knack for encouraging a good tidy-up and let’s just say my digital footprint in Canva – with far too many images and a colossal lack of organization – is ripe for a clean-up.
But guess what? As is true with cleaning out cupboards and drawers, it pays to follow Michelle’s advice to go slowly and take a gander at what you’ve gathered along the way. To wit…this gem. Nearly two years ago the team at Sharing the Heart of the Matter chose the theme of “creativity” to inspire content for a month – specifically focusing on what it means to live creatively and how to reap the benefits of doing so.
Some of our favorite quotes were included in this graphic (see below) and they hold up, gosh darn it. The wisdom holds up. (Truthfully, I’m enamored of the image I created, too.)

If I were to add one more to the line-up of quotables, I’d include these magnificent words from Madeleine L’Engle. These words speak to me this morning:
Our truest response to the irrationality of the world is to paint or sing or write, for only in such response do we find truth.
Take a look at the graphic and let me know if a favorite quote jumps out at you. I still smile when I read Morgan Freeman’s wisdom. So good!
Some of the best advice I’ve been given: Don’t take criticism from people who would never got to for advice.
Sending creative vibes to you…I find it’s a great stress reliever these days and the great thing about expression? You get to pick your favorite pathway to a power boost. Whatcha waiting for?
