“Surviving Sue” is celebrating a birthday – she’s officially two years old!
Last week in a reflective moment I thought about the past two years and the enormous gratitude I feel for readers and their kind words, lovely reviews and comments. Whether it’s a call or an email outreach, my heart swells when readers connect. It’s a wealth of riches…hearing that my story inspires and helps others on a healing journey.
I don’t know much about manifesting goodness, but I’m intrigued by the concept.
I received two phone calls last week from former students who read “Surviving Sue” – eager to share a-ha’s about their accomplishments, despite enduring family turmoil…much like life with my mom, Sue. The following day, I heard from a dear former colleague, the talented educator, librarian and author, Jim Edstrom (that’s Jim in the pic above) offering praise for “Surviving Sue“:
Your book is an extraordinarily important work that deserves wide circulation. You accomplished something exceedingly rare: at the same time that you told your story honestly and truthfully, you were able to critically assess what was happening, evaluate your mother’s behavior patterns and find for yourself a sense of peace and healing.
