“Slivers” – Podcast Fun!

If the image above of Wynne Leon and I LOL-ing our butts off doesn’t draw you in, I don’t know what will. Scratch that. Some might be fearful of what follows with this as the opening image. I guess you’ll need to trust me…and Wynne…when I say we had a grand time talking about my new book, “Slivers”. There’s nothing we enjoy more than delving into the why, the how and…the giggles…behind pushing ourselves to TRY.

Wynne’s an expert interviewer and in the “Life of Try” platform she’s curating conversations with thoughtful and inspirational guests and I was honored to spend time with her, describing the journey of writing my first-ever novel.

I loved Wynne’s thoughts – earlier in the week – when she dropped the episode. She deftly addressed the swirl of mindset, gratitude, risk and courage when it comes to book writing. So many emotions…in motion. If you’re a writer, author or have aspirations, I am certain some of our truth-telling will hit home.

Even more? I hope the urgency about storytelling hits home, too. If writing ideas gnaw in your gut, along with annoying unworthiness jabs, our best advice is to begin. Just begin. Or restart. Resurrect the project that may look a little dusty. It’s aching and lonely, waiting for your attention.

Thanks much for the continuing and fabulous interest in my spooky story, “Slivers”. Pre-orders will ship soon, and I’ll offer “Peek Inside” snippets and in the coming weeks. There’s so much I want to share with all of you!

In the interim…please listen/watch and subscribe to “The Life of Try”. All the details are linked below.

        1. Just watched. Terrific conversation between you and Wynne, Vicki! Fascinating to hear about how your family history influenced the novel, about using a different part of your writer brain to move from nonfiction to fiction, about the angst and rewards of that move, etc.!

  7. I loved this podcast. You and Wynne are such great examples of ‘trying’ new things and chasing ideas. And you both are such great encouragers – “If writing ideas gnaw in your gut, along with annoying unworthiness jabs, our best advice is to begin. Just begin. Or restart. Resurrect the project that may look a little dusty. It’s aching and lonely, waiting for your attention.” 💞💞
