Q: From a long-time colleague in higher education: “Where did the courage to write fiction come from? No offense, but you’re not THAT kind of writer.”
A: After I stopped laughing, I said something like, “Well…nothing ventured, nothing gained, I guess. I was lucky to have readers riding along like formative critics, evaluating my storytelling acumen with honesty. I took their input to heart and tweaked as a I wrote, listening closely to nuances about character development, especially.”
Q: “Will you be available to do book clubs – virtually and/or in person – to talk about “Slivers” with readers?”
A: Wow. This was a fun and unexpected question! My Answer? Absolutely! With “Surviving Sue” I created several resources to support book club discussions and I have a few ideas about the same for “Slivers”. I’d better get cracking!
