Thanks to Cheryl Oreglia and Joy Neal Kidney, I learned about a super cool resource for writers and readers a few months ago. It’s called Shepherd and it’s a wonderful way to learn about beloved volumes.
When I decided to participate in Shepherd’s latest project, I had no idea I’d be among 882 other authors doing the same. I think you’ll love perusing the lists. The Shepherd team did a fantastic job of organizing authors’ pick by genre. Such a resource!

One of Joy’s books, Leora’s Dexter Stories was a close runner up on my own list of three favorites. The same is true for Cheryl’s delightful book, Grow Damn It.
And my other author friends? Golly, it was hard to narrow my list. If Shepherd ever does a “Top Ten”, I can include more of you! I’m big on inclusion and it pains me to leave anyone out. Every day I find myself learning about other beautiful books written by talented writers. My list continues to grow. So many writers, so little time, but I’m going to keep reading…and writing…with gratitude to all.
In the end, I selected these three impactful reads:

Read all about it here to learn why Wynne Leon, Jennette McCurdy and Lois Roelofs’ books are my top three.
Cheers and love to all the readers and writers!
Vicki 🥰
