The Morning Knows…

Some days go awry, don’t they?

Even so, every now and then some days unfold better than anticipated. I’ve learned I can’t predict. Just hope for the best and remember to smile whenever possible. Remembering a favorite quote from poet Robert Frost never hurts:

“The afternoon knows what the morning never expected.”

Isn’t that the best? Liberating. Makes me wonder about follow-ups:

What does the evening know that the afternoon missed?

What does the morning know about lessons learned?

Robert Frost’s words inspire me. This post will explain why. It’s still a favorite…

Wishing you all the best. Today and every day.

Vicki 😊

  1. Well, you know what they say – time is the wisest counselor. I’m not sure what that has to do with anything but I felt the urge to add an encumbering comment 😆

    1. I love your comment…and what is time, anyhow? And for the record, I don’t feel the least bit encumbered. So there! 🤣🥰🤣

      1. Oh darn, then I did it wrong. Note to self – Longer comments for Vicki. I should have use the complete Pericles quote. I’d have to look it up but I know it has more words, maybe even enough to be encumberable!

That’s why life is the greatest reality show ever invented. Sometimes the days turn out better or worse than expected, often from things entirely out of our control.

  11. Oh gosh yes the unpredictability of a day when I make my best attempt to live predictably. And most often it’s better, sometimes not so much. I had planned to catch up on your posts before today, but then…

  12. It’s been a long week — getting the flu, keeping up with work, jugging a few other demands — but just what I needed. Some days go awry, but maybe there really is a bigger purpose. Ha, ha.

  14. The wonderful thing about our life is that, in most cases, there’s a new day coming up that’s a blank slate and we can, hopefully, let go of the things that went awry the day before.
